Training Sessions

Care for Your Waters Training Workshops:
Are you concerned about lake and river water quality? Do you want to preserve our fresh water resources by lending a helping hand? Then you should attend the annual ‘Care for Your Waters’ training workshop on April 15th, 2006 from 8:30-2pm at the Melrose City Hall and become a Steward of the Sauk. The Sauk River Watershed District Volunteer Program can provide you with the opportunity to learn what area citizens are doing to preserve area waters and provide training to people wanting to lend their time and talents.

The training workshop includes lunch and materials and is free for people wishing to gain more information on volunteering. For registration materials or if you would like more information, contact Adam Hjelm at the Sauk River Watershed District at 320-352-2231.

One of our new volunteers works with the transparency tube.

Some of our volunteers posed for a picture during our training workshop in April 2004.

Presenters from the Rivers Council of MN, MN Pollution Control Agency along with the Sauk River Watershed District discuss and train citizens on monitoring basics.
